This website is for sharing the results of my Melrose one-place study. The study grew out of my ancestral connections with Melrose parish in Roxburghshire, and is strongest for pre-1820, where I believe I can make the biggest contribution in terms of providing new resources. Transcripts and indexes of various records are already here, and longer term I hope to start to reconstruct the parish population, family by family, particularly for the 18th century. In addition I plan to work through the kirk session minutes, as much as I am able to, recording all references of potential interest.
